The MUDESC is working to become more and more inclusive and accessible for people with disabilities and reduced mobility.
Inside the museum, is available a wheelchair, on request, for users who need it. The service is completely free of charge. | |
In front of the building where the museum is housed, in Carducci Street, there are some parking spaces which are reserved for people with disabilities. | |
Museum’s access is guaranteed by an access ramp from Viale Don Bosco, and by an accessible lift. The lift can be taken both from the ground floor (entering from via G. Carducci) and from the basement parking of the business center, which works during the museum’s opening hours. | |
All texts are written in a reduced length and in an accessible format according to the Easy-to-read guidelines. The font used for panels and labels is suitable for helping people with dyslexia. | |
Inside the museum there are large and accessible corridors, as well as slides for the removal of architectural barriers. There is no shortage of seats to rest during the stages of the route. | |
A series of accessibility tools is being tested and will be presented to the public on September in the “Tools” page of this section. | |
The museum allows access to service animals i.e. guide dogs, signal dogs, medical assistance dogs, emotional support dogs – with the necessary documentation. | |
The toilets are accessible and located at the exit of the museum, near the Laboratory area. | |
