What are the opening days for schools?
At the moment, the museum is open for schools on Thursdays and Fridays morning (excluding holidays)
What are the hours of visiting shifts for schools?
The available shifts are scheduled from 9 to 13. Schools can book the first shift (9am-10.30 am) or the second shift (11am-12.30am)
Is booking mandatory?
Yes, it is necessary to make the reservation by email at museodellascuola@unimc.it
Is it possible to buy tickets online?
No, at the moment this option is not available
Can I pay directly on the spot on the day of the visit?
No. Schools will pay after the visit. Schools must make a bank transfer to the Department. All the instructions are available in the form downloadable from the web-page “Payments for schools”
I’m a teacher and I have collected money from my pupils: who has to make the money transfer?
The bank transfer can be made by the School Secretariat, or by a private individual (the teacher) via the PagoPA platform. All the instructions are in the form downloadable from the web-page “Payments for schools”
Are there reductions on the cost of the ticket and / or free tickets? Do teachers have to pay?
Yes, and teachers are entitled for the free visit. All the categories that are entitled to the free ticket are listed on the “Tickets, prices and timetables” web-page
How long is the visit?
The visit lasts a maximum of 45 minutes, to which activities a/o workshops must be added. However, the duration is adjustable according to needs with preliminary agreement.
How long does an educational workshop last?
From 30 to 40 min, depending on the laboratory chosen.
Can I take pictures or videos inside the museum?
Yes
Can you touch the exhibits?
Yes, most of them, asking for permission from the museum staff.
Is it possible to bring luggage, bags and/or backpacks inside the museum?
Yes, the museum has a small wardrobe in which you can store your personal belongings.
