What is it?
The social history is an easy reading tool for people with intellectual disabilities: it is a short story which is used for the description of a context or concept in order to explain and teach sequences of operations and rules of the social world to interact correctly with others and in certain situations of everyday life.
What is it for?
The social history allows to introduce into the daily routine a novelty such as a visit to the museum or a specific situation that is described in advance so as to allow the person with autism to familiarize themselves with the expected environments, rules and behaviors. This tool allows you to live the new experience in serenity, increasing self-esteem and improving the quality of life.

You can call ahead to make sure no school or group visits are planned that would make the Museum noisier than usually. You can also warn us about your special needs: we will do our best to make your visit pleasant and enjoyable.
