MUDESC offers the public a wide range of proposals for classes from kindergarten to lower secondary school. Each activity is designed specifically for each age group, creating opportunities to immerse yourself in a real journey through time but also to address social issues and deepen intra-interpersonal relationships.
GUIDED TOUR WITH TREASURE HUNT

In this journey through time, children will discover the school of the past. How did our grandparents go to school? What were their backpacks made? How could they write without erasable pens?

How do you say blackboard in English? Through a language tour, students will discover the museum and learn many new words about yesterday’s school and… today’s school! The language level to be adapted to the school order and grade will be agreed with the museum.

With this workshop the students will find rituals, rules and times of games and toys that have brightened the recreation of their grandparents and great-grandparents. But they will find that many games and toys have not changed over time.

THE BEAUTY OF ITALICS

“Cursive writing is much more than a technique: it is thought, slowness, self-care” (National Indications 2025). This workshop was created to bring children closer to the pleasure of beautiful writing, fundamental to develop coordination, concentration and reasoning skills. Through photos, shared reflections and small calligraphic challenges – letters to tie, long words to tame – participants will discover how writing well also helps to think better. To rediscover the pleasure of graphic gesture and the beauty of italics.

In the National Guidelines 2025, it is highlighted “the importance of mental or silent reading aimed at a deep understanding of the proposed text”, from primary school to secondary level 1. The workshop proposes techniques of “active reading” – differentiated by school order – to “understand the meaning of simple written texts, recognizing their function […] and identifying their essential elements”. With the help of a reader’s notebook, participants will rediscover the pleasure of deep reading as an antidote to “distracted reading” induced by new media and the unconscious use of social media.

Is better the snack bought in the supermarket or a nice slice of fresh bread topped with a little oil and salt and with lots of love from mom? Children will discover similarities and differences between their snacks and those hidden in the ancient panierini: at Km 0 and without preservatives! After a sensory analysis and tasting laboratory, they will decide which is the best snack!
