MUDESC offers the public a wide range of proposals for classes from kindergarten to lower secondary school. Each activity is designed specifically for each age group, creating opportunities to immerse yourself in a real journey through time but also to address social issues and deepen intra-interpersonal relationships.
Guided tour with activities

In this journey through time, children will discover the school of the past. How did our grandparents go to school? How were their backpacks made? How did they write without erasable pens? With educational activity included.

How do you say “lavagna” in english? Through a visit in foreign languages, students will discover the museum and learn so many new words about the yesterday’s school… and today school! The linguistic level is to adapt based on the order and school grade and will be planned with the museum.
Treasure hunt

The visit at the new Museum of School turns into an exciting treasure hunt: will you be able to solve all the riddles and get to the end of the game?
Grandparents’ snacks

Is it better a snack bought at the supermarket or a nice slice of fresh bread, seasoned with a little bit of oil, salt and lots of mom’s love? The children will discover similarities and differences between their snacks and those hidden in the ancient baskets and after a tasty test, they will decide which snack is the best!

How was our grandparent school like? Greeting the teacher, sitting properly at the desk, arriving tidy and clean at school… was it really that easy? Everyone will be tested and this will implicate trying out a good number of punishments.
Break Time! Games of yesteryear

The break time bell has rung: everyone in the courtyard! What game are we playing? With this workshop, students will rediscover the rituals, rules and times of the games, and toys, that cheered the afternoons of their grandparents and great-grandparents. Finding out that many games and toys have remained unchanged over time.

Did the Neanderthal kids go to school? What happened in the prehistoric “classroom”? Were there the teachers? And the detentions?

How do you write “book” in hieroglyphics? And “scribe”? What were the writing tools, words and symbols in the Pharaohs language? Museum visit with a writing workshop on a papyrus sheet prepared by the kids.
